Paddling with Purpose: Veterans Kayak Across LI Sound to Support Warrior Ranch Foundation

Hold onto your paddles! Veterans Dani Koulermos and Ashley Vadasz are swapping combat boots for kayaks as they team up to tackle the LI Sound to spotlight the impact of PTS on veterans, and support Warrior Ranch Foundation. This paddle team is part of the 22 Pac PTS Awareness event that brings several veteran's organizations together. It takes just $22 to support Dani and Ashley (just a buck per mile).

September is Suicide Prevention month, and we are opening it up with Dani & Ashley's paddle across the Sound on September 1st. They'll launch with the other paddle teams at 10:30 am from Bridgeport, CT and make waves to Port Jefferson, NY by around 5:30pm. A celebration reception will greet them, and all the participating paddlers, in Port Jefferson, from 4pm to 8pm. Join the shindig at the Port Jefferson Village Center, featuring free refreshments, and live music. Mingle with our paddling heroes and fellow supporters, and celebrate this fantastic journey.

We are so grateful Dani & Ashley are paddling for Warrior Ranch Foundation in this event! Through horse interaction and Equine Assisted Learning, Warrior Ranch is a lifeline for vets and first responders. Plus, the horses get retrained and repurposed so they can live a noble life in a forever homes.

This kayak adventure is more than just a journey – it's a salute to second chances, both for those who've served our country and our four-legged friends. So, please make a donation and make a splash for our heroes!

America's Heroes Rescuing America's icon, a second chance for human and horse.
